Screenwriters. Screenwriters are writers hired to create, finesse or even rewrite a story into a screenplay. The average salary of a film screenwriter is $95,250. There are less than 2,000 working screenwriters compared to nearly 22,000 producers and directors.
Directors. Directors have a say on all the creative side of the film. They are hired early in the development stage and are unable to leave the project until it is completed. The average annual salary of film directors is $92,920.
Producers. Producers oversee projects over long periods of time and through all stages of development. The average annual salary for a film producer is $92,920.
