Surviving the Film Weather

Surviving the Heat. Dehydration can have serious consequences, carrying a bottle of water can reduce risks of dehydration. Hats can help reduce risk of sunburns on the head and also help with prevention of heatstroke by exposition to excessively high temperatures. Sunscreen can generally be found with craft services, however it might be prudent to bring a tube, in case none was available. Light clothing, both in fiber choice and color, can help reduce the effects of heat.

Surviving the Cold. Carrying a sweater can prevent someone from being cold when the weather unexpectedly changes. A large amount of body heat can be lost from the head being directly exposed to the cold, if it is not correctly covered. Good footwear can prevent a multitude of problems if it’s adapted to the weather condition. Warmer socks can prevent someone’s feet from freezing rapidly. Good worm and/or waterproof gloves will help to prevent fingers from freezing.

Surviving the Rain. Good quality raingear, including rain pants, will prevent someone from being drenched when exposed to the rain for long or short periods of time. Breathable raingear material is available to help with issues such as perspiration. Waterproof shoes may prevent water infiltration, however it might not last for long period of time. Backup pair of socks can keep the feet dry and warm while helping to prevent other problems such as blisters. Rubber rain boots are widely popular for when the ground is too muddy.
