Font Type. Some font types can be difficult to read if they are not clear and simple. The person who reads the resume must be able to understand what is written otherwise the resume might be ignored. Arial, Time New Roman and Helvetica are the most commonly used font and also default fonts in Microsoft Word and Apple’s Pages. Getting feedback is a way to verify font type and size choices.
Font Size. Resumes written too small might be too difficult to read while resume written too big might take too much space on the page. Finding a compromise, a font size that can be easily read, is a way to compromise safely. Font size will have different effects depending of the font type selected. If people other than the applicant can read the font size then it could be found to be a safe choice.
Paper. A4, 210 x 297 mm or 8.3 x 11.7 inches, is most commonly used paper size, for printers, fax and copy machines, around the world. Choosing a size fitting of the region where the resume will be used matters, as resumes might need to be printed or faxed. In the U.S., a letter-sized sheet of paper is 8.5 x 11 inches; legal size is 8.5 x 14 inches.
Resume Size. It’s common for resumes, in most industries, to be about two pages long. Too much information might require filtering of the most recent, important or related information.

“Pink paper and a very cute font”
Love it! I’m using that!
If I simply send it as a PDF then I’m generally trying to get my font size bigger. I find that it works better for me.
I was looking for this, thanks!
